Will my filing for bankruptcy affect my spouse’s credit?
It depends on whether you share any joint debts. If you and your spouse have co-signed on any loans or other debts, you can both be held responsible for them. In that case, it may be best for you to file for bankruptcy jointly, to protect your assets. If you and your spouse do not share any debts, however, it may be best for you to file as an individual.
