Opus West Corp has announced that it will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection early this month. Sister company Opus East LLC has already filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection as of Wednesday.

Part of the reason for the Opus West filing was an inability to obtain financing for its Hill Country Galleria project just outside Austin. The company has already built the shopping center.
