First Plus Financial Group Inc, or FPFX, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Northern District of Texas. The company cites a series of events leading to the filing.

Among other things, the company has been financially burdened by litigation costs piling up and a lack of revenue from its subsidiaries. The company now faces serious liquidity issues that it plans to address during restructuring.
