Charter Files for Bankruptcy

by Administrator 27. March 2009 04:36

Charter Communications Inc has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy recently. This filing comes as part of an agreement with debtholders to reduce the company's debt by about $8 billion.

At the end of the year, Charter had $21.7 billion in debts. This restructuring plan has been expected for some time, allowing Charter and its debtholders to come to an agreement before the bankruptcy filing.
