by Administrator 30. June 2009 01:38

On Monday, Bison Building Materials said that it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It cited costs of expansion and the housing market crash as some of the main reasons for the filing.

The housing market crash has greatly affected the company, bringing them down from 1,350 employees in 2006 to 556 today. Their revenues also dropped significantly from $406 million to $271 million in the same time period.
